I haven’t blogged in ages. I’m sorry about that. I told myself when I started this thing that I wasn’t gonna be one of those dudes who started a blog and blogged for like three days and then not again for a month. Well…I lost.

I’m listening to Chris Thile and I’m just continually blown away by this man. He has a new band that was actually on his last solo album but now they’re a band called Punch Brothers. They’re unbelievable musicians. It’s bluegrassy but has a little kick and a lot of awesome minors. It’s sweet. So yea I just got their new album and Claire is gonna love it I think and I love that.

Welp, we just got back from Kansas and overall it was a great perfect trip. My only complaint is that it was too short. But we surprised my Dad for his fiftieth birthday. It’s a big one. My mom bought me, my wife Claire, and my sister plane tickets to surprise him and he was shocked. I was completely amazed that my mom was able to keep it a secret for as long as she did, I was impressed. Well done MOM. He blogged about the whole experience so you can follow that link and hear all about it. It was so much fun to see my parents and Claire and I got a chance to check out some apartments. I got to record with my Best Friend Nathan, and see a bunch of my other good Kansas friends.

I just got back from class and it was good, we watched a movie about kids on the street called StreetWise. Other than that, pretty typical tuesday so far. Getting ready to go to a production meeting for a movie we’re shooting this weekend. See ya later.
